ORDERING, DELIVERY AND SHIPPING

 

We offer shipping throughout Australia and a ‘click & collect’ service from our shop at 1/111 Pakington Street, Geelong West, 3218. Simply select the appropriate option at the checkout.

 

Shipping costs are based on the number of books purchased. Please select the shipping option that corresponds to the items in your cart.

 

We use Australia Post for all parcels. Orders are dispatched 1 – 2 business days after the time of purchase.

 

Out of stock and forthcoming items can still be purchased on our site but will take longer to post. We will contact you regarding stock availability and any additional delays. The Book Bird is known for our personal and effective communication and will keep you informed on the movements of your books.

 

The buyer will receive two confirmation emails from The Book Bird. The first confirmation email is from eWay and contains the purchase details; the second confirmation email is from The Book Bird and contains an Australia Post tracking number.

 

Please note that we cannot assume responsibility for delivery times; this is in the hands of Australia Post. If your order has not arrived after ten (10) business days, please refer to the Australia Post tracking number provided by The Book Bird. If your order has not arrived after fifteen (15) business days please contact us on info@thebookbird.com.au and we will investigate the matter.

 

RETURNS AND EXCHANGE POLICY

 

We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind. We are happy to exchange or provide credit notes if the items remain in mint condition. The Book Bird will not take on the postage costs of change-of-mind exchanges.

 

We will replace or refund books that are damaged in transit. Please note that we thoroughly check books before packing and posting, but we acknowledge that sometimes items are mishandled during delivery. The buyer must contact The Book Bird within four (4) days of receiving the damaged books. We require photographs as proof, which can be emailed to info@thebookbird.com.au. The buyer is not required to post the damaged goods back to The Book Bird; we will simply issue a refund or send a replacement.

 

All refunds, exchanges and replacements are decided on a case-by-case basis in line with the policy stated above. The Book Bird reserves the right to refuse refunds, exchanges and replacements on reasonable grounds and in accordance with consumer law.

PRIVACY AND SECURITY POLICY

 

In order to purchase books from The Book Bird you will be required to enter personal information. This includes your name, address, phone number, email and credit card details. We will then need to share your information with Australia Post in order to have your parcel delivered. We only share information to third parties that is necessary in order to complete our services to you.

 

The Book Bird uses eWay to process online transactions, which employs encryption technology to protect your credit card information. This information is not accessible by or visible to The Book Bird. For more on eWay and how it works, please visit their website at www.eway.com.au.

 

Rest assured that all identifiable information is handled by The Book Bird in a secure manner. Your safety is our priority.

 

We reserve the right to amend our Privacy and Security Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page at the time of implementation.
